Natalie’s Revenge

I drafted this post at the beginning of September but never published it because…well, let’s be serious. Anyone in their right mind might find it slightly creepy.

HOWEVER, I was inspired today after reading this post at www.mikeandkayla.com, and decided that I didn’t care and The Bloggess probably won’t think it’s creepy at all (which is why we lurv her).

(Also, if you haven’t read Mike and Kayla’s blog, you really should. They are pretty hilarious!)

Natalie lives outside of Houston. The following IM conversation occurred in direction response to my taunting when our beloved Bloggess commented on my blog (referenced here).

Christy: <---giggling like an idiot Natalie: (sigh) I’m going to have to kick your ass by ACTUALLY meeting her.

Christy: Oh god. You could do it too. You two could hang out, drive around, listening to Zeppelin, thrift-store shopping, AND THERE’S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Natalie: I’d totally take a picture for you.

Christy: I would expect no less.

Natalie: “Hey look at me!!!”

Christy: “Hey, remember that shitty blog you commented on? Let’s make her jealous! It’ll be great!”

Natalie: “Throw her a bone, ya know?”

Natalie: “Hey. Can I get a picture with your monkey?”

Christy: Copernicus! Aww man!

Natalie: “Oh hey, I gotta go, man. Jenny The Bloggess is here.”

Christy: DAMMIT

Natalie: “Oh hey, what are you doing friday? Oh, I’m just hanging out with Jenny The Bloggess.”

Christy:

Natalie: “Look at this awesome Christmas card that Jenny The Bloggess sent me!”

Christy: Okay, that’s going just a bit too far.

Eh, she’s not so great. She’s never got her picture on bubblegum cards, did she? Have you ever seen her picture on a bubblegum card? Hmmm? How can you say someone is great who’s never had her picture on bubblegum cards?

  2. I’m so happy we inspired you to share your creepiness with the world! Mike and I regularly refer to The Bloggess as simply Jenny, so we can act like she’s a close, personal friend. Just between you and I, if pushing Mike in front of a train would allow me to meet Jenny, I would totally do it. ;D

I think Natalie would push me in front of a train as well. She’d be devastated for a few minutes, but Jenny would totally help her get over the grief of losing me.
